You know what gets me excited for a wedding? Anticipating all the new people I’ll meet and seeing the families interact. There’s a certain buzz of energy around the wedding day that can’t be replicated any other time. It’s often the only time two people will have everyone they care about the most in one room together. For this reason I want to advocate for the idea of a large family wedding inside a barn. Firstly, the atmosphere of barns give such a cozy familiar feel. The way the light bounces off the wood, and the high ceilings with large chandeliers or sweeping bistro lights can bring a calm mood that some brighter venues with white walls might not be able to replicate. Another aspect is how big or small you can go with the decorations with it still feeling like a complete room. Whether it just be a few table centerpieces, or florals that span the length of the barn, any way you decorate can feel just as uniquely you. The third way barn weddings are amazing is because of how many guests you can fit in them!
